Beautiful
The facility was utilized effectively but I regret that only a limited number of young people can attend at one time. Then again, perhaps the smaller group contributes to the overall experience.
It's beautiful up here
I learned so much that normally I wouldn't even think about.
I really liked the experience & I hope to come back an bring friends
Wonderful professionals,  a nice mix of things to do, and a great place to have it
I enjoyed the diversity of the activities

Very well organized, but easy going
It's really fun. It's my 2nd year and I love it. You make new friends
Very impressed with improvements made in the program
I hope lucky kids like me can enjoy this place for years to come
The instructors were excellent. The really worked hard for all of us to understand the complicated process of each lesson

How everything has to work together or not at all
Now that the camp is over I have a better appreciation for the variety and scope of different views facing natural resources
I love trees and such, and I thought the lesson was awesome. I got sooo much out of it!
I think the most interesting was the spruce beetles killing the trees. Everybody went into detail about it. I was happy.
That I can look at a plant and determine what it is
Animals, water and soil
Hydro
That Smoky Bear wasn't exactly the best thing
I learned something in everything I did. I never realized all of the hard work and effort that went into the earth
The professionals were all interesting and the three hours went by a lot faster than I thought they would.
That you can count a year on a tree sample by one dark and light band
Soil, Wildlife, Hydrology - they were great
I learned a lot about farming. Larry is the best. I had a lot of fun.
Very well taught very helpful and interesting people. Very good teachers and friends
The history of the Manti-LaSal mountains and the problems they face in the future.
I really found the soil presentation was great
Where do I begin? It was all GREAT information and since I learned SO much I'd go crazy finding the best.
I would have never thought that soil really contributes that much to life!
The aspen trees & spruce trees, the birds and soil
I learned I could actually  be interested in Biology-type stuff.
How to get along with everyone and not to be shy anymore
The soil scenario was my favorite

I must give extra commendation to our soils professional. He communicated with the students, was thoroughly prepared, and kept their attention
Everything was new and exciting and fun
Everyone was a really great teachers, but it really depends on what your interested in whether one likes it or not
I had a great time in the field
Everyone was so wonderful. They were nice and very interesting. Some seemed a little slow at first and I fell asleep, but I still liked them.
Everyone was excited in the fields and they we all a lot of fun
All was great - except range
They were all very good but some I liked more
They all did a great job
I liked the soil - it was the best
All of the professionals were very fun to be around
This place is excellent camp. Continue keeping it the way it is. If there is a problem occurring I'm available
Garth and Diane were my two favorites
Larry was so funny I fell out of my chair. Don't ever let this place lose it's magic

Mandie was the best~ She was always willing to help and had a great attitude

He was the best, and wasn't mean. we love him
If he could put up with us, he'll make a great teacher
I had a lot of fun. I think everyone really tried to be the students friends, which is very important
She was so fun and easy going
She was so funny , smart, and happy go lucky,  love ya Anna
Excellent, of course
She was a very good leader and she helped a lot

5.  How would you rate the team building games?

They  were so much fun I love doing team work
I learned how to communicate
They hurt!
I'm very fit
The games really made me think and without one person you can't do it
I learned you really must give a lot to achieve with a team, use your brain and communication is a must
Playing the games kept my brain from overloading from all the info, but I still learned from them
Some were more interesting than others
They were all fun
Very fun with good morals
The baby game is the best, I love it
They were fun
They really challenged me, both mentally and physically
I think we should have done camp competitions with them or special awards for people in certain games
I'm not much for those kinds of games, but for what it was worth they were great
Some of them were really hard so we had to use teamwork and work it out
My team had the hardest game first, so we never really had a good team work built up fro the rest of the games
They were a blast

I had a lot of fun
Great food, great kids, great place, great people
Since it was my fist time coming up here on my own I didn't know how I would adapt. This camp prepared me to be on my own & made new friends without being distant and needy.
The food was great and I think I gained a few pounds. All of the kids here had great personalities and were a lot of fun. The councilors and professionals were really fun
Education is GREAT
WOW!   I guess I could use nap times after meals though  GREAT FOOD
Very exciting and fun with a lot of learning in one week
Thanks for inviting me
It was fun
I was never sorry I came and I would come back in a second
I was kind of dreading coming to camp. I thought only geeks would come. But everyone was so nice and fun. I enjoyed learning everything.
I really look forward to using the info I learned in the future and also coming back
The speakers were great
My friends made up here I hope will be lifetime as well as what I learned
I had a blast up here! Everything was better than last year
I highly recommend Dr. Allen Stevens from Snow College as a speaker, as well as the Cattleman's President and the HawkWatch groups
As long as I am capable I will be coming back here to be a counselor and who knows, maybe one day as a professional!?!

7. Would you recommend this natural resources camp to other high school students

I think anyone would enjoy this experience
I loved the people here. Education is what builds the future. Educate the future!
Definitely yes, maybe they will view the world differently, like I did. I have a lot to be thankful for.
This is a great experience!
If they can be serious and enjoy the outdoors and love learning and are looking for a fun time I would definitely recommend this camp.
I would love everyone to have this experience,  but that would make it harder for me to come back!
My friends might apply and come next year
This is a great chance for High School students to learn about natural resources
I have already told  all my friends about this camp, and they all want to come
It is a learning opportunity
It's a lot of fun and even the learning part isn't nearly as serious as school
My friend wants to come already!
Even though it is a week of learning in summer it is the best spent week I could have done in the summer
Me, my sister, and my friend are probably coming next year
I really think that they would enjoy it because it was really fun
I want all my friends that want to go into natural resources to come so that they can gain the valuable information I did
I had not known of this camp until now, but now that I do, I will advocate it upon my return
Even if you haven't really thought of natural resources as a career you learn so much about our natural world it's hard to resist! 8 What is the best way to inform other students about this camp?
Get the word out through email
Fliers, teachers
Tell them you will feel belonged. You will learn a lot about nature and you knowledge will expand
TV commercials during the Super Bowl
Tell them about the experience at school functions
Internet etc.
Email teachers
Mouth to mouth
Put applications in High Schools
Advertise
Go to High Schools and post signs
Tell students about my experience and give them the web address
Word of mouth
I'm not sure
Tell them
Tell them personally
When they ask what you do over the summer , tell them about this camp
Posters and flyers in schools
Schools!
Send applications to high school teachers

a.  What is the best time in the summer to hold the camp?

June   4       July   5        August  11   no answer     4

9. What could we do to improve this Natural Resources Camp?

I loved it so much I can't think of any way to improve it!   I like the hawk thing.  Maybe bring Bob the Geologist back up for a lecture. Definitely keep Garth for a field professional
Make the Personal profiles and speeches a lot more interesting
Make a nap time
Start earlier in the year and have more games
Keep doing it. Maybe add more games. Can't think of anything else
More nap time
More time for games and more actual hikes and a little less time in the field.  More time to present scenarios
Just keep the great instructors and the great attitudes
NAPS!  Get Ron a titanium . nah, a Diamond leg!
It's already better. It's lots of fun
It was great
Notice the group and how well they are doing and try to help them with the work
I think everything is excellent! I also wish we would have had more cute guys here
Un-electrify the boys shower!
Don't hold it on a Sunday. Monday through Saturday is fine
Have a nap time!  Or an hour of free time. Maybe give awards to excellent campers or most improved
More free time
Recruit more boys to come
Have a nap time  - Not so bossy people
Don't wake up as early. Let us have about ˝ hour to ourselves
Give us more free time instead of just busy, busy, busy or else we get really tired and get bored more easily
A rest time right after lunch because it is hard for teenagers to concentrate on a lesson right after eating. Especially after long hours everyday.   I thoroughly enjoyed the food. It tasted like moms and it was on time. We also got variety!
Room for more kids
Give us more time to present our scenarios. I could've gone on for 20 minutes with our info and wanted to share it all.  Have wake-up time ˝-1 hour later. We do so much physical activity that it's hard to keep up at the end of the week.
