2004 Nature High Summer Camp
Post Camp Evaluation Summary

   a. When I arrived at camp, I felt:
Good; nervous, alright, excited, new, sad, tired, welcomed, happy
Alienated, out of my natural role
A little nervous
A little like I should have just stayed home, it wouldn’t be worth my time
I was going to have fun
Weird and out of place and shy

   b. Now that the week is over I feel
Like I know everyone and really close. It was so much fun
Very happy I stayed; glad I came.
I had lots of fun and learned a lot and met lots of people
Like I’ve learned something
Rewarded, furthered my knowledge, worthwhile
This was worth my while. A lot of new insights and knowledge.
More confident about environmental issues
More accepted by others here
Not wanting to go home
Very happy and kinda sad to go home
Like I need another week!

b. What was the most interesting thing you learned about natural resources?
I learned how nature really works
Everyone & everything is effected by one little thing
People have different views
So many thing tie into the ecosystem - there are a lot of professions
Hydrology an the effect of ecosystem disturbance
All the different laws which control natural resources.
Really love the way we learned about the info
They [natural resources] are difficult to manage
How everything is connected!
I opened my mind to understand different groups
How to core a tree
Career opportunities
The names of the flowers and about how complicated the ecosystem is.
Got to learn from environmentalist point of view

Diane was awesome, Larry makes me laugh
I enjoyed them all and learned interesting things from each one.
They all were very helpful and had many interesting things to state. Intrigued me and got my head runnin’.

I was getting bored the first two days, but I loved the 3rd and 4th
I enjoyed it
I had so much fun. I really thought that this was going to be boring, but it turned out to be fun.
I had a ton of fun, awesome
Worth it every time
I made a lot of new friends and it helped me be not so shy.
I learned a lot too.
Planning on next year
Fun, busy, and no time to go around in circles

other high school students?
